Physics and Maths Tutor

 

 

Background
Having achieved three A grades at A level in Maths, Physics and Chemistry, I read Physics at University of Bristol. I graduated top of my year with a first class degree. I then undertook research on superconductivity as part of a PhD, also at the University of Bristol. Having taught undergraduate laboratory skills at the University of Bristol, I turned my attention to teaching full time.

 

After completing a PGCE at Imperial College in London and teaching Physics at an independent school in Bristol, in 2013 I became Head of Physics at an independent school in Bath. In 2018 I moved to Poole, Dorset and now teach at a grammar school where I am Director of Science. I am an assistant principal examiner for GCSE Physics and I am principal examiner for an A level Physics paper. I am an experienced tutor, having been tutoing KS3, GCSE and A level Physics since 2012.

Physics and Maths Tutoring

I tutor pupils of secondary school age (11-18 years / school years 7-13) in all aspects of Maths and Physics.

I currently teach AQA GCSE Physics and OCR A Level Physics. However I am very familiar with the content of all courses.

 

University Entrance Examinations

I can fill in any gaps in knowledge as well as provide help and guidance on the style of questions and go through the past paper style questions to ensure you are well prepared.

 

Location

I am currently offering online tutoring via Teams.

I am fully DBS checked (the new name for CRB).

I charge £40-50 per hour depending on the level.

Unlike some other tutors or tutoring agencies I do not arrange a fixed number of sessions which you have to pay for upfront or in advance. The number and length of sessions can be arranged to suit and paid for individually.
